How to upload files and folders

Uploading on a computer

  1. Go to Ruby Datum > Documents.
  2. Navigate to the relevant folder, or create a new one.
  3. Drag your desired files and folders from Windows Explorer / Finder and drop them into Ruby Datum.

Some older browsers may not support drag and drop. In this case, click on the Add Document(s) icon near the top to upload files.

Uploading on a mobile or tablet

  1. Go to Ruby Datum > Documents.
  2. Navigate to the relevant folder, or create a new one.
  3. Tap the Add icon in the top right corner.
  4. Tap Add Document(s).
  5. Locate and select the file(s) you want to upload.

Who can upload?

Administrators and Editors have the ability to upload files and folders. Standard users can only upload files if they are given “Edit / admin” access to a folder.

Note

Files and folders you upload will be visible to all users, unless you upload or move them to a folder that is already restricted, or apply new restrictions.
