How to move / copy files and folders

Moving / copying on a computer 

  1. Go to Ruby Datum > Documents. 
  2. Check the file(s) or folder(s) you want to move or copy. 
  3. Mouse-over one of the selected items, right-click and select Move/Copy
  4. Choose the destination and click Copy Here or Move Here as appropriate. 

Moving / copying on mobile or tablet 

  1. Go to Ruby Datum > Documents. 
  2. Tap on the information icon next to the item you want to move or copy. 
  3. Tap Move/Copy
  4. Choose the destination and tap Copy Here or Move Here as appropriate. 

Who can move / copy files and folders? 

Administrators and Editors have the ability to move or copy folders. Standard users can only do this if they are given “Edit / admin” access to the relevant folder. 


Files or folders you move or copy will inherit any restrictions that have already been applied.
